Two Rising Stars Shortlisted for Yorkshire Young Professionals Award
Nicholas Associates Group is delighted to announce two of our colleagues have been shortlisted for the Young HR/Recruitment Professional of the Year award for 2023. Danny Faulkner, specialist recruiter in the Engineering, Technical and Manufacturing sectors and Laura Davison, Client Solutions Manager in the Industrial sector.
The Yorkshire Young Professionals Awards, an annual event that recognises leading professionals under the age of 35 across a range of industries, are upcoming for 2023. Following the success of the Insider Media, North West Young Professional Awards, Yorkshire’s own awards will take place at New Dock Hall in Leeds on Thursday 2nd February 2023.
This event celebrates Yorkshire’s young talent, with outstanding professionals under 35 being nominated for awards in a range of sectors including accountancy, recruitment, law and finance.
Danny started with the business as an apprentice back in 2013 and has gone on to gain a wealth of experience in the Engineering sector working under the Nicholas Associates brand. His journey has seen him develop massively, being promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant in 2021.
Throughout his time with us, Danny has been the driver of his own professional development and played a significant part in growing our engineering recruitment division, which has seen record-breaking 12-month figures since his arrival.

He has a proven track record of finding top talent through his vast network and understanding of his marketplace.”
Laura has been with the business since 2014 and her role as Client Solutions Manager means she is highly involved in the client side and bringing in prospective new business to our Group.
Whilst working tirelessly to have a major impact on bringing in new business for each of our 10 Stafforce branches, Laura has also been successful in cross-selling our Group offering of supporting talent management solutions from Apprentice through to Boardroom.
Sales Director at Nicholas Associates Group, Sunny Singh, works with Laura every day and cannot speak highly enough of her. He stated “Laura has an open mindset to growth and learning. Combining a driven approach with a transparent ethical methods to secure new business, Laura’s achievements in her first 12 months (within the role) have been remarkable. Laura is a kind, polite and respectful individual, who is well regarded by her colleagues and customers alike.”
The Yorkshire Young Professionals Awards 2023 take place on Thursday 2nd February 2023 and we wish the best of luck to both Danny and Laura.
