Celebrating Long Service
On 6th February 2022, Queen Elizabeth II became the first British monarch to reach 70 years on the throne. To celebrate this tremendous service many people up and down the country will be taking part in Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Coincidentally on 2nd February 2022, Nicholas Associates Group celebrated its 45th Anniversary. The Queen had already been on the throne 25 years by then, which in itself is a great achievement. To mark 45 years in recruitment for our Group, we are taking this opportunity to thank and highlight some of our long serving employees who have helped us get to where we are today!
Some of our employees have been with the Group for 20 years, including Tony Boorman, our Managing Director of Stafforce and Vicky Milne, Client Relationship Manager for Stafforce. Barry Potter, our Business Systems Analyst and Bruce Allen, Finance Director have been with us for 21 and 23 years respectively. We even have Joanna Saxon, Managing Consultant at Nicholas Associates, who has been with us for 30 years! But what has made our longest serving employees stay with us for so long?
Lindsey Bradley – Credit Controller at NA Group (23 years)
Lindsey Bradley joined the Group back in 1999 and is still with us now, as a Credit Controller. When asked what has kept her with the business for over 23 years, Lindsey stated “It’s your team and who you get to work with!”
Rosie Taylor – Compliance Manager for NA Group (22 years)
Rosie Taylor, our Compliance Manager, joined the business in January 2000; that’s 22 years ago! We asked Rosie to summarise her time with the Group and she commented “I’ve been fortunate to see the business evolve and have been supported to develop myself both personally and professionally too. It’s a supportive, big family feel here and the people make it such a great place to work. That’s why I have stayed with the Group for so long!”
Eliza Cole – Senior Recruitment Consultant at Stafforce (14 years)
A Senior Recruitment Consultant for our Stafforce brand, Eliza Cole, joined the business back in 2008 and has not looked back.
What is behind you staying with our Group for so long Eliza?
“I enjoy my job at Stafforce and I’ve been with a company for over 14 years now. Working here has allowed me to grow and gain new skills and knowledge. I support company values and culture but most of all I love my team who are like a family to me! If you find this at work, you do not want to go anywhere else. It’s a truly great place to work.”
Amanda Underhill – Business Manager for Ashley Kate HR & Finance (12 years)
Amanda Underhill, Business Manager for Ashley Kate HR & Finance, has been with the Group since July 2010. She explained “I was attracted to working in HR recruitment because I love talking to people! Ashley Kate offered me a chance to build on my recruitment skills and work independently. I also really enjoy leading our live events and overseeing our annual salary guides too.”
Kris Randall – Digital Managing Consultant of olano (10 years)
Last year, our NA Consulting division rebranded as olano, specialists in providing training solutions. Heading up olano is Kris Randall, Digital Managing Consultant, who has been with the business for 10 years too.
Kris reflected on his time with the Group, saying “There is a lot of flexibility in the way I wanted to drive my team forward. There is a clear understanding that olano is different from the rest of the business but that we are understood as a foundational element. Not many other positions outside of this Group would offer me this in my role. I’ve been offered other positions but nothing has looked to provide this level of flexibility or empowerment.”
Paul Brammer – Managing Director of Permanent Recruitment (10 years)
Paul Brammer is Managing Director of our Permanent Recruitment division and has been with us for over 10 years now. He stated the reason behind that is “Working with some of the best talent in the recruitment business inspires me every single day. Spending so much time at work needs to be enjoyable and the teams I work with are brilliant.”
Steve Brown – Managing Consultant for Nicholas Associates (8 years)
Steve Brown joined the business as a recruiter almost 10 years ago and has progressed on to become Managing Consultant of the Nicholas Associates team, specialising in Engineering and Technical Manufacturing. When asked why he has remained with the business, Steve said “I’m treated like an adult and left to my own devices to get on with the job and make my own decisions. It’s great!”
Nikki Heath – Operations Manager for Stafforce (8 years)
Nikki Heath, our Operations Manager for Stafforce, joined the business back in 2014. When asked, Nikki commented “I have been with the business for 8 years now and have loved every minute. The company’s ethics align with my own and there is no hierarchy; we are thought of as individuals and not a number.”
